When at home, she enjoyed reading John Grisham books, making crafts that she sold at local craft shows and tending her flower garden and mowing her 3.5 acre yard, a task she continued until last fall. She also enjoyed fishing and the many fishing adventures with their large groups of friends in earlier years.

She was also a member of the Eastern Star where she was Worthy Matron, and a Cub Scout Den Mother. For many years, Marilyn donated her time to Paw Paw Township where she worked the election polls. Not only did her family treasure her meals, but she also shared her cooking with the Paw Paw Fire Department from time to time at their monthly meetings. Marilyn took great pride in the kitchen, preparing dishes that were loved by all. Her holiday meals were just as perfect as her decorations. The grandchildren always looked forward to Christmas at grandma's house. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and it showed with her detailed decorating, leaving no stone unturned. Her steadfast love for the holidays did not go unnoticed. She also assisted her husband Arnold, with bookkeeping at the Harvey Ford Dealership. Marilyn was a dedicated wife and mother, she took meticulous care of everything around the home. She was born in 1932 Paw Paw, to the late Charles McKee and Frances (Webb) McKee. Marilyn Josephine Harvey, age 90, a lifelong resident of Paw Paw, passed away Monday, Apat the Rose Arbor Residence in Kalamazoo.
